What You Should Know about Custom Dentures
Full sets of dentures are comprised of a complete set of artificial teeth – both the upper and the lower plate.
Dr. Robertson takes the same care in ensuring that your dentures will fit perfectly whether you need a full set of dentures or are just missing a few teeth and require only a partial set.
After the dentures are made, he takes the time necessary to make whatever adjustments are needed to be certain that your dentures not only function well, but function as closely to your natural teeth as possible.
Dr. Robertson takes into account not only the teeth that the dentures will be replacing, but also the facial anatomy of each individual patient. Every set of dentures is made to meet Dr. Robertson’s exacting requirements and are created by a trusted, high quality dental lab.
How Dentures Stay in Place
When it comes to complete sets of dentures, patients have two choices:
1) Dentures that are held in place by a combination of natural suction and adhesives; and
2) Dentures that are held in place by state-of-the-art dental implants.
Dr. Robertson can provide you with more information and help you decide which choice is right for you.
Note: Most partial sets of dentures are held in place by a metal frame that is secured by the existing natural teeth on either side of the partial.
